The Opportunity

We're seeking a visionary Creative Designer/Director to shape how Awarri tells its story and engages with the world. This is your chance to define the creative direction of a company at the forefront of Africa's AI revolution. You'll be the creative force behind how we communicate our mission to enable frontier technology across the continent and globally from compelling brand campaigns to engaging product storytelling.

What You'll Do

Lead Creative Vision

  • Own and evolve Awarri's creative direction across all visual and brand touchpoints

  • Develop innovative design concepts that communicate complex AI and technology narratives in accessible, inspiring ways

  • Establish and maintain design systems that ensure brand consistency while allowing for creative flexibility

  • Actively seek out and champion emerging design tools and trends that can amplify our storytelling and visual impact

Design & Execute

  • Design compelling graphics for digital platforms, marketing campaigns, social media, presentations, and events

  • Create visual assets that bring our mission to life from program launches to partnership announcements

  • Design materials that resonate with diverse audiences: from government stakeholders to students, tech professionals to everyday Nigerians

  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to translate strategic objectives into powerful visual stories


Deliver Excellence

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional quality standards

  • Meet deadlines consistently without compromising creative integrity

  • Iterate based on feedback and data, continuously improving creative output

  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership teams to ensure alignment

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

  • 4-7 years of professional experience in graphic design, ideally within tech companies, startups, or innovative brands

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand identity, digital design, and campaign work

  • Expert proficiency in leading design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva, etc.

  • Experience designing for online and offline platforms

Nice to Have

  • Video editing skills and experience creating mobile-first video content

  • Motion graphics and animation capabilities

  • Photography or illustration skills
