LBF Data Privacy

LifeBank Microfinance Foundation, Inc. respects the privacy and upholds the rights of our applicants, we strive to embed privacy in our recruitment process in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and other issuances of the National Privacy Commission.

LBF recognizes the importance of protecting your personal information as well as the importance of transparency in the way that we collect, use, store, transfer/disclose, and dispose of information derived from recruitment documents and interviews.

1. Collection of Personal Information

1.1 In order that LBF can conduct a full and professional search, LBF collects from job applicants’ personal information, such as but not limited to:

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data during recruitment. However, suppose you do not provide sufficient information necessary for us to assess your application (such as proof of qualifications or work experience). In that case, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.

1.2 During Online Interviews, LBF may require you to open your camera and audio as facilitated by the interviewer and/or recruitment personnel.

1.3 LBF collects your personal data during various stages of the recruiting process (application, testing, and interviews) as necessary for our hiring decisions. We collect and use your personal data for reasons related to your application and always follow applicable data protection laws.

2. Purpose of Collection

As part of LBF recruitment, selection, appointment, and other human resource processes, the collected personal information will be utilized to evaluate the qualifications of the applicants.

3. Storage and Security

Personal and other information collected through the submitted documents is stored in a secure data facility. LBF has adequate security safeguards to protect the information you shared with us, including but not limited to, physical security controls, equipment, software, and technical security controls such as encryption to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of personally identified information.

The documents are retained only for a reasonable period necessary for us to meet legitimate business purposes, after such retention period, paper documents shall be shredded, and the electronic files shall be completely deleted in accordance with the applicable rules of the Data Privacy Act.

4. Data Sharing

LBF does not share any personal information with other parties except only with relevant and concerned LBF personnel. This sharing is conducted in line with the transparency requirements mandated by applicable laws and regulations.

5. Data Subject Rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed, the right to object, the right to access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure or blocking, the right to damages, and the right to file a complaint.

As such we may decline requests that are excessively repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, are against the public interest, jeopardize the privacy of others, or are extremely impractical or unreasonable.
