Role Summary
The Senior Associate, Claims Analytics for Rare Diseases, will support the development of data-driven insights that inform brand and marketing strategy across Amgen’s rare disease portfolio. The role focuses on transforming claims, EHR, and specialty pharmacy data into actionable intelligence that enhances understanding of patient journeys and market dynamics.
This position collaborates closely with Brand Analytics, Marketing, and Data Science teams to deliver patient-data-based analytics, frameworks, and performance metrics that guide commercial decisions.

Role Summary
The Senior Associate, Claims Analytics for Rare Diseases, will support the development of data-driven insights that inform brand and marketing strategy across Amgen’s rare disease portfolio. - Develop analyses using claims, EHR, and specialty pharmacy data to generate insights that inform brand and marketing strategy.
- Build and maintain patient journey and treatment flow frameworks to understand diagnosis, progression, and therapy adoption patterns.
- Partner with Brand Analytics and Marketing to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate with Data Science teams to align on methodologies, ensure analytical rigor, and maintain data quality.
- Support the design of dashboards and reports that communicate findings to business stakeholders.
- Translate analytical results into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decisions.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Data Science, Engineering, or related) with overall 5+ years of exp.
- 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical commercial analytics, preferably with exposure to U.S. datasets.
- Hands-on experience working with claims (IQVIA, Komodo, Symphony, Optum, etc.), EHR, and/or specialty pharmacy data.
- Understanding of patient-level data structures and longitudinal analytics.
- Proficiency with SQL, Python or R, and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in brand performance tracking or launch analytics.
- Familiarity with rare disease or specialty therapy data environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional organization.
