The BREATHE Program deploys ultrasound devices, clinical protocols, and AI-enabled workflows across multiple geographies to strengthen frontline screening and triage. Job Description
The key responsibilities of this role typically include the following:
Roles and Responsibilities
1) Program & Grant Management
Own end-to-end delivery of the grant: scope, work-plan, RACI, critical path, and change control.
Ensure compliance with donor policies (narrative & financial reporting, audits, procurement, sub-award management).
Stand up and scale sites: SOPs, change management, clinical workflow fit, and training plans.
Run integrated delivery across product, integrations, field ops, data/impact, and clinical workstreams; unblock issues and implement durable fixes.
2) Stakeholder & Partner Management
Serve as day-to-day liaison for global funders and government stakeholders; manage reviews, and steering committees.
Coordinate implementing partners, device OEMs, and third-party vendors with clear SLAs and governance.
Identify expansion opportunities and support pursuit/renewal planning.
3) Financial & Operational Stewardship
Own the program budget, burn, and forecast; maintain ≥95% budget adherence with timely variance explanations.
Oversee compliant procurement (devices/consumables/services) and logistics across countries.
Establish dashboards for executives and funders covering delivery, finances, risks, and impact.
4) Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)
Define targets and track KPIs (scan volumes, trained users, site adoption, TAT, conversion of pilots to scale).
Ensure data quality, ethics/IRB adherence, and privacy/security (e.g., GDPR/HIPAA/local laws).
Lead learning cycles and disseminate insights to improve program efficacy.
5) Risk, Quality & Compliance
Maintain RAID log; proactively mitigate regulatory, supply-chain, and operational risks.
Lead readiness, UAT, and go-live quality gates; coordinate internal/external audits.
Ensure safeguarding, PSEA, and child-protection standards are embedded in field operations.
6) People Leadership & Capability Building
Manage and mentor a cross-cultural team (program associates, field coordinators, MEL, and vendor teams).
Build training curricula for clinical and non-clinical staff (POCUS protocols, device handling, data capture, and safety).
Required:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s in public health, management, development, or related field.
- MBA/MPH or equivalent.
- Bilingual advantage (English/French).
Professional Expertise:
- Experience deploying medical devices or digital health solutions (Radiology, PACS/DICOM, EMR/HIS integrations).
- Familiarity with IRB/ethics processes and data-protection regimes (GDPR/HIPAA/local).
- 6+ years in program/grant management in public health/global development; proven delivery of multi-country grants (multi-million-dollar scale).
- Strong donor compliance experience, sub-award/vendor management, and audit readiness.
- Financial acumen: budget building, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost controls.
- Led cross-functional, multicultural teams (~20–40+) with complex stakeholder environments.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; comfort presenting to senior government and funders.
Preferred:
- Exposure to LMIC health systems and last-mile operations.
- Certification in project/program management
- SRAI/CRA or similar research administration credentials.
