Role Summary
The Director, MSAT Product Team Lead reports to the MSAT Head of Business Operations & Portfolio and leads a global team of MSAT E2E Product Leads who represent MSAT in Strategic Operations Teams (SOTs) and provide cross-functional coordination, portfolio visibility, and lifecycle management support for Servier’s commercial products across internal and external manufacturing sites.
This role ensures consistent governance, prioritization, and integration of product-related technical activities across all MSAT domains (Drug Substance, Drug Product, Packaging, and Analytical). The incumbent drives operational alignment and performance monitoring between global MSAT leadership, site MSAT teams, and cross-functional partners in Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Global Manufacturing.
The MSAT Product Team Lead is accountable for global oversight of the product-level portfolio, ensuring issues, risks, and improvement opportunities are identified, mitigated, and escalated through a structured governance framework.
Primary Responsibilities
Global Leadership and Organizational Alignment
- Lead and develop a global team of MSAT E2E Product Leads responsible for end-to-end coordination of commercial product portfolios across the MSAT network.
- Provide coaching, prioritization guidance, and performance management for E2E Product Leads to ensure consistent execution of MSAT processes and governance.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and accountable culture that emphasizes cross-functional engagement, knowledge sharing, and data-driven decision-making.
Product-Level Governance and Integration
- Oversee product-level technical governance and ensure effective integration of MSAT activities across all relevant MSAT functions (Drug Substance, Drug Product, Packaging, Analytical).
- Proactively identify and map product-level gaps and risks across the MSAT network, define mitigation actions, and maintain an up-to-date MSAT Product Gap/Risk Matrix.
- Regularly review and communicate risks and mitigations to the MSAT Head of Business Operations & Portfolio and MSAT Leadership Team, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational priorities and objectives.
- Monitor product health metrics (e.g., process robustness, CPV indicators, lifecycle performance) and proactively escalate critical risks or supply-impacting issues to MSAT leadership.
- Ensure consistent use of templates, trackers, and dashboards to improve product-level visibility, harmonization, and accountability.
Cross-Functional and External Collaboration
- Serve as the primary MSAT point-of-contact/interface for cross-functional product coordination, collaborating with IPNS, CMC, Regulatory CMC, Global Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain etc.
- Ensure seamless communication of product-level risks, priorities, and decisions between site MSAT, global MSAT functional leads, and MSAT leadership.
- Support the integration of MSAT product governance with broader industrial governance structures (e.g., Strategic Operations Teams, SOTs).
- Support due diligence of external opportunities by coordinating end-to-end technical assessments from an MSAT perspective, leveraging standardized evaluation frameworks and collaboration with relevant global and site technical experts.
Education and Required Skills
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related technical discipline preferred. Bachelors of Science in relevant technical discipline required.
- 12+ years of experience in CMC or MSAT roles, with demonstrated expertise in product lifecycle management including support of submissions and launches.
- Proven leadership experience managing global technical or project teams in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end development and life cycle management topics across small molecules and/or biologics.
- Consistently demonstrating growth mindset, adapting to and championing change, with a passion for building capabilities, to help shape the future of MSAT within a transforming organization.
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Power BI) and data-driven decision-making frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complexity, synthesize information, and drive clarity across technical and business interfaces.
- Knowledge and experience with FDA and EMA regulatory CMC requirements
- Demonstrated excellence in writing, presentation, and overall communication in English
Travel and Location
- Domestic and international travel up to 20%
- EU/US
- If based in the US, hybrid (2-3 days in our Boston office) preferred. Open to remote candidates

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $195,000 - $235,000. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
