What You’ll Do:
- Create high-quality, scientifically rigorous content across a wide range of medical articles, including symposium reviews and KOL interviews within various therapy areas.
- Assist in developing grant proposals by writing educational needs assessments, gap analyses, learning objectives, agendas, and content summaries.
- Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring on-time delivery of top-tier educational content in collaboration with our Commercial and Publishing teams.
- Mentor junior writers by reviewing their work, leading workshops, and providing valuable feedback to help them sharpen their skills.
- Take a proactive approach to research and project briefs, digging deep into scientific data, journal articles, and congress materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Develop and oversee multimedia content such as webinars, podcasts, and infographics, ensuring each project not only meets but exceeds client expectations.
- Attend international congresses, presenting and selecting key scientific sessions for coverage, keeping yourself and the team ahead of industry trends.
- Build strong relationships with clients and KOLs, becoming the go-to expert for high-quality, compliant medical communications.
- Ensure all content adheres to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards, maintaining the highest scientific quality in every project.

Who you are:
- You have a higher academic degree (PhD, PharmD preferred) in a scientific, medical, or healthcare-related field.
- You bring 3+ years of experience in medical writing, ideally in CME or grant proposal.
- sYour organisational skills are top-notch—you can juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while always meeting deadlines.
- You’re a natural mentor, ready to guide junior writers and elevate the whole team’s output.
- Experience building strong client relationships and handling feedback with creativity and professionalism.
- Broad knowledge across various therapeutic areas with the ability to adapt and thrive in new subjects as needed.
- A solid understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and the importance of compliance in healthcare communications.
Key Information
- Reports to: Victoria Nash
- Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Mon-Fri
- Location: This role is based onsite in our London/Moorgate office
- High Performance working: Up to 2 days flexibility to work from home (FT in office during probation)We offer a hybrid work environment, balancing office and remote work. To support your training and development during your initial three-month probation, this period will be fully office-based, five days a week. Following this, we anticipate a regular office presence of at least three days a week to maintain collaboration and team connection.

Your CV will be reviewed by the Recruitment team. If successful, we will be in touch to arrange a 20-30 min video call. Following this there will be a writing task and a 2-stage interview process, one focused on competencies and one on the EMJ values.
