We are looking for a dynamic person to join our in-house team as a Data Scientist on a permanent basis. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Data Exploration: Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, or significant structures in clinical data.
- Feature Engineering: Transform and engineer data features to enhance the performance of ML/NLP models, using domain knowledge of clinical trials in drug and medical devices development.
- Model Training Validation: Continuously train, validate, and fine-tune models to ensure robustness and relevance. Implement cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, and other optimization techniques.
- Collaborative Projects: Lead cross-functional projects, collaborating with clinicians, pharmacologists, regulatory specialists, and IT teams to ensure cohesive execution.
- Model Interpretability: Work on making complex models interpretable and understandable to non-experts, especially when results have significant clinical implications.
- Regular Updates: Conduct periodic presentations and training sessions for stakeholders, sharing insights, and educating on the significance and implications of findings.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Post-Graduate in Engineering or Data Science or related fields, with 02 - 04 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced Expertise: Mastery over a wide range of ML and NLP methodologies, ensuring optimal model selection and implementation based on specific project requirements.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the clinical trials landscape, including regulatory compliance, data management practices, trial phases, and the unique challenges posed by the industry.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead complex data-centric projects from conception to completion, liaising with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in popular ML/NLP frameworks and tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and NLTK. Comfortable working with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
- Research Development: Track record of pioneering research initiatives that enhance trial outcomes, patient recruitment strategies, drug efficacy and medical devices predictions using ML/NLP techniques.
