Summarized Purpose:

We are offering an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Sr Engineer, Software Quality Assurance. In this role, you will drive automation testing initiatives, lead a team of engineers, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software products aligned with organizational standards.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 8–10 years of testing experience with strong automation background.
  • Additional relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance (preferred)

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Define automation roadmap and strategy .
  • Lead design and scalability of automation frameworks .
  • Oversee CI/CD integration and quality gates.
  • Mentor and guide automation engineers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous quality improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in system testing methodologies and test documentation creation.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of test planning, execution, error reporting, and verification procedures.
  • Strong expertise in automation frameworks and tools.
  • Programming skills (Python/Java/JavaScript).
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in deadline-driven environments.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies and software platforms.

Must Have Skills:

  • Automation leadership experience
  • Strong programming and framework design
  • CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • API and microservices testing

Good to Have Skills:

  • Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
  • AI/ML testing exposure
  • Performance and security testing

Working Hours:

  • India: 05:30 PM to 02:30 AM IST
  • Philippines: 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM PHT
