Project Manager - Global Supply Chain Digital Platforms
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (Remote)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours
Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)
Compensation: $65–$74 per hour (based on experience)
Contract Length: 14 months (possible extension)
Summary of the Role
Join the Global Supply Chain Digital Platform Management team at a large biotech pharmaceutical leader to advance digital supply chain initiatives. In this consultative role, you will bridge business requirements and technology solutions to support end-to-end supply chain optimization. You will drive process improvement, systems alignment, and cross-functional collaboration across planning, operations, and technology teams to enable current and future business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure business requirements and system designs align to support current and future supply chain needs
- Partner with Planning, Operations, and Project Management teams on business case rationalizations
- Support business process mapping, documentation, and functional user requirements development
- Facilitate moderately complex analyses and develop actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with SAP S/4HANA implementation planning and Master Data Management teams
- Champion analytics and Operational Excellence to drive process improvements
- Drive alignment and consensus in complex, cross-functional process sessions
- Monitor progress, report status, escalate issues, and support decision-making
- Provide technical consulting, coaching, and mentorship to junior staff
Qualifications
Top Skills (Must-Haves):
- Project Management experience
- Supply chain planning experience
- Experience with Kinaxis Maestro and SAP S/4HANA
Required Experience & Skills:
- Experience supporting major business process improvement initiatives in pharma/biotech supply chain environments
- Strong reporting and data analysis skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with ability to shift priorities effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated urgency, reliability, and results-driven execution
- Ability to distill large data sets and complex information into clear business cases and requirements
Preferred:
- Kinaxis RapidResponse / Maestro experience
- SAP S/4HANA or ERP implementation project experience
- End-to-end supply chain planning expertise
- Supply chain capacity and constraint management experience
- Pharma or biotech supply chain background
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Consult across business support areas and develop business impact measurements
- Support SAP S/4HANA integration and data reliability through cross-team partnerships
- Facilitate system design, testing, implementation, and related documentation
- Support cost and timeline estimation and provide timely project updates
- Promote project visibility, early risk identification, and escalation management
- Coach and mentor junior staff on best practices and technical topics
