Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Buyer to support supply chain operations through strategic procurement and inventory management. This role is responsible for sourcing materials and services at competitive prices while maintaining the highest standards of quality, availability, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be proficient in procurement systems (such as SAP or MMIS), able to manage vendor relationships effectively, and capable of developing supply-related reports and analysis to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure materials, equipment, and supplies at the best value while ensuring quality, availability, and compliance.

  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance using key metrics to maintain service and product quality.

  • Maintain accuracy of material master data and purchasing fields in SAP or equivalent MMIS systems.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, and maintain optimal stock turnover.

  • Process purchase requests within 24 hours and ensure adherence to contract terms and pricing agreements.

  • Review and resolve open orders and procurement discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Develop and present supply chain reports and data-driven analysis to support cost-reduction and compliance initiatives.

  • Monitor and improve internal processes related to inventory planning and purchasing.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in procurement operations.

  • Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all transactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (essential); college coursework or certification in supply chain, procurement, or business is a plus.

  • 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a healthcare or high-demand environment.

  • Proficiency with purchasing and inventory systems (SAP, MMIS, or similar platforms).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Commitment to operational excellence, process improvement, and customer service.

  • Willingness to occasionally work during holidays, weekends, or office closures based on business needs.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with supply chain cost analysis and contract compliance reporting.

  • Familiarity with HIPAA and other compliance standards (if applicable).

  • Background in supporting 24/7 operations and geographically distributed teams is a plus.
