Special Counsel - Employment Litigation (Remote)
Job Description:
Join a leading national management-side labor and employment law firm's virtual office as Special Counsel! Leverage your extensive litigation experience in this fully remote role, handling all aspects of employment law cases from inception to resolution.
About the Role:
Focus on single-plaintiff litigation, administrative charges, and attorney demand letters for diverse clients, including those with EPLI. Lead case strategy, supervise staff, and enjoy a collaborative environment without business development or billable hour pressures. Minimal travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation matters and agency proceedings.
- Draft pleadings, memos, and client communications.
- Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Supervise junior attorneys and staff.
- Collaborate on legal strategy.
- Assist on complex employment matters (occasional).
Qualifications:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- 7+ years of employment law and litigation experience.
- Active U.S. bar membership.
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Remote work proficiency.
Preferred:
- Law firm experience.
- EPLI experience.
- California bar admission.
