Litigation Paralegal

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist & support lawyers in managing civil, commercial, criminal and family litigation matters from commencement to completion.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, submissions, witness statements and court forms.
  • Prepare court bundles, hearing bundles, trial bundles and authorities bundles.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries when required.
  • File & submit court documents through the eLitigation system and ensure compliance with court timelines and procedural requirements.
  • Monitor court dates, filing deadlines and lawyers' calendars.
  • Liaise with clients, counsel, experts, government agencies, courts and other law firms.
  • Coordinate client meetings, court attendances and appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and organised physical and electronic case files.
  • Review and organise documentary evidence and prepare chronologies.
  • Assist with discovery, document production and trial preparation.
  • Prepare invoices, monitor disbursements and assist with file administration.
  • Perform general administrative duties and provide support to the Litigation Department as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Law, Legal Studies or a related discipline.
  • At least 1–3 years of litigation paralegal experience in a Singapore law firm is preferred.
  • Candidates with relevant legal executive experience are welcome to apply.
  • Fresh graduates with a keen interest in litigation may also be considered.
  • Familiarity with the Singapore Rules of Court and litigation procedures is an advantage.
  • Experience using the eLitigation system will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Able to prioritise work effectively and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Responsible, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
