Who you are:

A bright and highly creative individual with a passion for visual design, who can quickly interpret briefs and manage demanding and changing deadlines to a high standard. You will bring energy and a great attitude to a variety of projects. You're skilled with software like Sketch, Adobe CS, InVision, DSM etc. You have a strong understanding of UX principles to seamlessly work alongside the rest of the design team and deliver the best work. You are very comfortable communicating directly with clients.

Main Purpose of the Role:

The Senior UI Designer are responsible for conceptualising and designing beautiful and engaging experiences on top of usable ones. They have a great understanding of typography, layout and visual design principles and are able to successfully translate UX needs into impeccable user-centred interfaces. They are able to support the UX team in times of need as well as the Associate Creative Director in mentoring and supervising more junior members of both teams.

They will be working with some of the world's leading luxury brands to bring their voice to life through outstanding design interfaces and engaging experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a key part of the design team working under the supervision of the Associate Creative Director

  • Supply and be responsible for pixel-perfect designs and design systems across devices for various user interfaces and platforms

  • Transform UX wires into stunning, modern concept designs, in-line with the client brand

  • Brief for production design and review the work of junior team members

  • Guide the creation of digital style guides at the end of the project

  • Interact effectively with the whole design team and wider company staff, across departments

  • Strong synergy with development team – provide a flawless handover to development

  • Mentor junior designers and share knowledge on design approaches, tools, and latest trends

  • You have strong presentation skills to clearly communicate design decisions and influence business, stakeholders

  • The ability to reflect on your work and share your learning and skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Willing to take initiative and ownership of tasks and deliverables

  • Organised, efficient and accurate with a Hawk’s Eye for details

  • Able to prioritise, work well under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Happy to receive constructive criticism to ultimately improve the end result

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed

  • Fully familiar with design possibilities within web technologies and mobile platforms, and eager to learn more about emerging technologies

  • Great understanding of UX principles

  • Animations skills are a plus


Requirements

  • Stunning portfolio

  • Strong foundation in typography, layout and visual design

  • Interaction and user-centred visual design excellence

  • Experience in working with a mix of digital platforms and for an array of different industries

  • Minimum 5+ years experience

  • Experience in the ecommerce/luxury space would be very desirable. If not, you’ll need very transferrable skills and a passion for working within the ecommerce/luxury space
