Chief Engineer (Senior DP Engineer)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Engineer (Senior DP Engineer) to join our client's offshore operations onboard an Anchor Handling, Towing, and Supply (AHTS) vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all engineering operations, maintaining the vessels propulsion and power management systems, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of the DP systems in compliance with international standards, flag requirements, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the vessels engine room operations and technical management.
• Lead the engineering team to ensure safe and efficient operation of propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and power generation systems.
• Act as Senior DP Engineer, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating DP-2 systems and integrated power management systems.
• Ensure compliance with class, flag, charterer, and company requirements regarding maintenance and documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures in all engineering and DP-related activities.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
• Ensure all machinery, systems, and certifications are maintained in accordance with safety and operational standards.
• Liaise with the Master, shore management, and suppliers to ensure smooth technical operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in rank as Chief Engineer on AHTS vessels.
• Must have valid DP Maintainer Certificate, with:
  a) Minimum 3 years experience on DP-2 vessels, and
  b) Completion of manufacturer/supplier-approved operator training for the integrated DP/power management control system.
• Must have the below listed certificates:
  a) Certificate of Competency (CoC): Chief Engineer Class III/2 Motor (3,000kW or more).
  b) Valid H2S/BA certificate.
  c) valid HUET (OPITO Approved) certification.
  d) Valid STCW certificates (Firefighting, First Aid, and Sea Survival).
  e) T-BOSIET (Tropical Basic Safety Induction Emergency Training OPITO Approved).
  f) Valid Offshore Medical Fitness Card.
