MASTER (Senior DP Operator)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Master (Senior DP Operator) to command an Anchor Handling, Towing, and Supply (AHTS) vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, safe navigation, dynamic positioning (DP) operations, and rig-moving activities, ensuring compliance with international regulations, company policies, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Command the vessel during all operations, including navigation, DP operations, anchor handling, towing, supply duties, and rig moves.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, class, and company requirements.
• Supervise and manage vessel crew, promoting a strong safety culture onboard.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures for all offshore operations.
• Maintain operational readiness, ensuring all vessel documentation and certifications are up to date.
• Liaise with clients, charterers, and shore-based management as required.
• Support efforts to acquire Pilot Exemption Certificates (Cat I or Cat II) as applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience as Master on AHTS vessels.
• Must have proven rig-moving experience as Master.
• Must have Nautical Institute Full DP Operators Certificate, with:
  • a) Minimum 5 years DP experience, and
  • b) At least 250 hours on the vessels DP system.

• Must have the below listed certificates:
  • a) Certificate of Competency (CoC): Master Unlimited II/2.
  • b) Valid H2S/BA certificate.
  • c) valid HUET (OPITO Approved) certification.
  • d) Valid STCW certificates (Firefighting, First Aid, and Sea Survival).
    
  • e) T-BOSIET (Tropical Basic Safety Induction Emergency Training OPITO Approved).
  • f) Valid Offshore Medical Fitness Card.
• Ability to acquire Pilot Exemption Certificate (Cat I or Cat II).
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of DP systems, offshore rig moves, and AHTS vessel operations.
• Effective management of multicultural crews.
