2nd Officer (Junior DP Operator)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated 2nd Officer (Junior DP Operator) to join  onboard an Anchor Handling, Towing, and Supply (AHTS) vessel. The ideal candidate will be a competent ship handler with offshore vessel experience, assisting senior officers in navigation, DP operations, and deck supervision while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in safe navigation of the vessel under the direction of senior officers.
• Act as Junior DP Operator, supporting dynamic positioning operations during offshore activities.
• Participate in anchor handling, towing, and supply operations in compliance with company and industry standards.
• Assist with deck operations, crew supervision, and watchkeeping duties.
• Conduct risk assessments and support the implementation of HSSE practices onboard.
• Maintain navigational and DP equipment in proper working order.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, company, and charterer requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience on AHTS or Offshore Support Vessels.
• Must have a valid Dynamic Positioning Operators Certificate, with:
• Minimum 6 months DP experience, and
• At least 50 hours on the vessels DP system.

• Must have  the below listed certificates:
  • a) Certificate of Competency (CoC): STCW II/1 OICNW (Unlimited).
  • b) Valid H2S/BA certificate.
  • c) Valid HUET (OPITO Approved) certification.
  • d) Valid STCW certificates (Firefighting, First Aid, and Sea Survival).
  • e) T-BOSIET (Tropical Basic Safety Induction Emergency Training OPITO Approved).
• Strong ship handling and navigational skills.
