Job Overview

Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities within our shipbuilding organization. The candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that electrical systems onboard vessels meet the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilites

  • Direct and oversee all electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities onboard vessels, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Utilize your certification as an assessor or readiness to obtain one to assess and certify electrical systems and personnel as per organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Leverage your experience working at prominent shipbuilding organizations to introduce and implement best practices in electrical operations. Share knowledge and insights to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure that all electrical activities adhere to top classification society standards and requirements such as IACS, ABS, BV, DNV, LR, RINA, etc. Maintain accurate documentation to demonstrate compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and project management to ensure seamless coordination and execution of electrical activities.
  • Effectively manage resources including manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize electrical processes and meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred, with additional certifications or training in marine electrical systems being advantageous
  • Proficient English communication skills with a minimum IELTS band score of 7 or equivalent, essential for mentoring trainees and documenting their progress.
  • Documented history of being a certified assessor or eligibility to become one, demonstrating the ability to assess and certify electrical systems and personnel.
  • Proven track record of working at prominent shipbuilding organizations, with significant experience in electrical operations. Bring along best practices and behaviors to enhance operations.
  • Demonstrated experience working on projects adhering to top classification society standards/requirements such as IACS, ABS, BV, DNV, LR, RINA, etc.
