About the job Operational Safety Manager
One of our prestigious clients in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seeking an Operational Safety Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Take charge of multi-site occupational health and safety (OH&S) operations, overseeing fabrication & construction EPIC/Ship/Rig MRO floating and dry dock operations.
- Develop and conduct specialized training programs for OH&S employees, aligning with international standards such as NEBOSH, OH&SE, and IRCA.
- Demonstrate proficiency in incident investigation techniques like PHA, Bow-Tie, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), etc.
- Utilize expertise in document management systems, quality assurance, and HSE parameters like TRIFR and LTIF.
- Lead the identification and management of OH&S risks across multiple sites, ensuring the implementation of risk management plans (PTD/TRA/HAZID/HAZOPS).
- Collaborate with the GM of HSEQ to establish and maintain an Integrated Management System (IMS) adhering to ISO protocols and standards.
- Plan and oversee occupational health & safety functions, fostering a world-class safety culture and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with HSEQ and other teams across the organization to ensure effective operational safety measures.
- Conduct audits both on and off-site to verify compliance with operational safety management systems and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in ship repair & building yards.
- NEBOSH Diploma & NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Mandatory Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, with IRCA registration.
- Advantageous to have Lead Auditor certification for ISO 55001:2014.
- Strongly desirable to have Integrated Management System Training covering ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015.
