Electro Technical Officer (ETO)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to join our client's offshore support vessel crew. The ETO will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical, electronic, and automation systems onboard, including dynamic positioning (DP) systems, ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and automation systems on the vessel.
• Act as DP Maintainer, supporting DP-2 operations and ensuring proper functioning of integrated DP/power management systems.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of all electrical and electronic systems.
• Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, and operational logs.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE policies, statutory regulations, and company procedures.
• Participate in drills, safety training, and emergency response exercises.
• Liaise with other vessel officers and shore management to coordinate technical operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience as ETO on offshore support vessels.
• Must have the below listed certificates:
  • STCW III/6 Certificate of Competency Electro Technical Officer.
  • Valid H2S/BA certificate.
  • Valid HUET (OPITO Approved) certification.
  • Valid STCW certificates (Firefighting, First Aid, and Sea Survival).
  • T-BOSIET (Tropical Basic Safety Induction Emergency Training OPITO Approved).
  • Valid Offshore Medical Fitness card
• Must have a Valid DP Maintainer Certificate, with:
• Minimum 2 years experience on DP-2 vessels, and
• Completion of manufacturer/supplier-approved operator training on integrated DP/power management systems.
• Strong knowledge of DP systems, electrical automation, and offshore support vessel systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under offshore conditions.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and maintain operational efficiency.
