Bosun

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bosun to lead deck operations onboard Anchor Handling, Towing, and Supply (AHTS) or Offshore Support Vessels. The Bosun will supervise deck crew, manage rigging and crane operations, and ensure safe and efficient execution of vessel operations in compliance with HSSE and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the deck crew in daily vessel operations, including anchor handling, towing, and supply tasks.
• Oversee rigging, slinging, and crane operations safely and efficiently.
• Maintain deck equipment, gear, and machinery in good operational condition.
• Participate in offshore support vessel operations as required.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures, HSSE policies, and emergency drills.
• Maintain accurate records of deck operations, maintenance, and inspections.
• Mentor and train junior deck crew to promote operational efficiency and safety.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience as Bosun on AHTS vessels or offshore support vessels.
• Must have the below listed certificates:
  • STCW II/5 Certificate Able Seaman (AB).
  • Valid H2S/BA certificate.
  • Valid HUET (OPITO Approved) certification.
  • Valid STCW certificates (Firefighting, First Aid, and Sea Survival).
  • T-BOSIET (Tropical Basic Safety Induction Emergency Training OPITO Approved).
  • Valid Offshore Medical Fitness Card.
  • Certificates in Rigging & Slinging and Crane Operations.

• Strong leadership and crew management skills.
• Knowledge of AHTS and offshore vessel deck operations.
