Our client, a well-established local company in Honolulu, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, ensuring accuracy, and supporting payroll operations for a growing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the processing of payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and pay adjustments
- Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits in a timely and professional manner
- Support payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations as needed
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure smooth payroll operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or related administrative work preferred
- Familiarity with payroll software and timekeeping systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, or similar) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic office applications
