Senior Accountant

Are you an experienced and meticulous accountant looking for a new challenge in the vibrant hospitality sector? A well-reputed restaurant group in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records and cost control procedures specific to the restaurant industry.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Liaise with auditors and assist with year-end audits.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support business decisions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, demonstrating proficiency in all core accounting functions.
• Prior experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS) and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or similar industry-specific software) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
