RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinating the activities of engineering and design groups assigned to project team.
  • Ensuring engineering is done with accuracy and to high standards.
  • Managing projects to meet client specifications, deadlines and budgets.
  • Acting as a client liaison.
  • Ensuring equipment operates efficiently, is designed in accordance with TDE and client specifications, will be
  • delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee detailed process / mechanical design.
  • Coordinate and oversee various disciplines involved in project (ensure their awareness of all ongoing work).
  • Equipment design (vessels, towers, exchangers, rotating equipment, etc).
  • Requisition of major equipment (specification of buyout equipment, issuing of RFQs, quote comparison, vendor
  • selection).
  • Review client specifications; note and confirm exceptions and pass on to project team in a timely fashion (design
  • group, fabrication shop, instrumentation & valving, controls and electrical).
  • Ensure design information is adequately controlled and provide to the project team as required. Coordination of
  • drawings and purchasing to ensure work gets to shop in time.
  • Review of drawings to ensure proper design and minimize conflicts.
  • Approval and sign-off of fabrication drawings.
  • Drawing submittals to fabrication shop and client.
  • Monitor fabrication/construction and rectify any problems.
  • Provide startup support and troubleshooting within scope of supply.
  • Assist and advise other engineers/technologists.
  • Coordinate client communications and meetings.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years experience in Project Engineering.
  • Gas Processing
  • FEED Study

EDUCATION AND ACCREDITATION

  • B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technology degree.
  • Registered and in good standing with APEGA.
  • P.Eng designation or working towards it.
