Mill Maintenance Millwright

Our client is seeking a Millwright to join their team. Reporting to the Mill Mechanical Supervisor, the Millwright is responsible for providing repairs, overhauls, and new builds to mining related equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Repairing, servicing and rebuilding equipment as directed.
  • Actively participating in developing and building preventative maintenance schedules and objectives.
  • Supporting all departmental initiatives with a concentration on preventative maintenance and construction initiatives.
  • Install, maintain, modify and repair machinery and stationary equipment.
  • Repair pipes and some other outdoor work.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends to prepare mechanical maintenance reports.
  • Operate Mobile equipment.
  • Perform hot work such as cutting and welding.
  • Follow health and safety policies to ensure safety and environmental protection.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Journeyperson Trade Certificate as Industrial Mechanic/Millwright
  • Dual trade designation/certification is considered an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience, including 2 years of experience in a mine setting is required.

ROTATION:

THIS IS A FIFO BASED ROLE OUT OF THUNDER BAY ON A 7 X 7 OR 14 X 14 DAY ROTATION.
