Job Purpose

The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer payments for vehicle services and spare parts while delivering excellent front-desk customer service. As the final point of contact, the role ensures accurate financial close-out of repair orders, clear communication of charges, and a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Payment Processing

Receive and process customer payments including cash, cards, and cheques.

Issue receipts and invoices accurately for services and spare parts.

Process refunds and adjustments for returned parts or corrected invoices.

Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly in the system.

Financial Reconciliation & Controls

Balance cash drawers and POS reports at the end of each shift or day.

Prepare daily cash summaries and support bank deposit processes.

Maintain accuracy and integrity in all financial transactions.

Administrative & System Support

File repair orders, invoices, and payment records systematically.

Perform basic data entry and update customer and transaction records.

Assist with office supply management and general clerical tasks.

Handle related paperwork such as rental vehicle documentation where applicable.

System & Process Management

Use workshop or dealership management systems to post payments, apply discounts or warranties, and close repair orders.

Follow internal procedures for billing, refunds, and financial controls.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Minimum of a High School Diploma in any related field.

Previous experience as a cashier is an added advantage.

Experience using POS systems or basic accounting / dealership software is desirable.

Strong numerical and cash-handling skills

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
