About the job Warehouse Order Selector
A Warehouse Order Selector (also known as a "Picker") is a critical role in the logistics and supply chain industry. You will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and organizing products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders.
Primary Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Reading pick tickets or using electronic handheld scanners/voice-pick systems to identify the correct products, quantities, and storage locations.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operating machinery like electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks to move heavy loads.
- Building Pallets: Carefully stacking and palletizing products to ensure stability and prevent damage during transport. This often involves shrink-wrapping finished pallets.
- Quality & Accuracy: Verifying product codes and conducting visual inspections to ensure the correct items are selected and are in good condition.
- Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized work area to meet safety standards and participating in inventory cycle counts.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Physical Stamina: The ability to lift between 50–75 lbs regularly and stand/walk for 8–12 hour shifts.
- Attention to Detail: Precision is vital to prevent shipping errors that cost time and money.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanning devices.
- Adaptability: Capacity to work in varying environments, including cold storage or freezers for food distribution roles.
This position is second shift, Sunday - Thursday 3PM-Mid
Must be able to pass backgrond and Drug Screen.
