About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, dependable Shop Mechanic & Facilities Manager to oversee equipment maintenance and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of our shop and facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems in real time, and taking ownership of both mechanical systems and building operations.
You will play a key role in keeping equipment running efficiently, maintaining a safe and organized workspace, and supporting overall operational productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Shop & Equipment Maintenance
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of shop equipment and machinery
Diagnose mechanical issues and implement timely, effective solutions
Maintain preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs when needed
Facilities Management
Oversee general facility upkeep, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems
Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and compliant with all applicable regulations
Manage maintenance supplies, tools, and inventory
Coordinate facility repairs and improvements
Operations Support
Maintain an organized and efficient shop layout
Support operational teams with equipment readiness and reliability
Track maintenance logs, repairs, and service records
Assist with safety initiatives and ensure adherence to OSHA and company standards
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, shop operations, or facilities management
Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude (equipment, machinery, tools)
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and take initiative
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial setting
Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
OSHA or safety training certifications
Experience managing vendors or outside contractors
