About the job Sr. Financial Analyst
LMK Recruiting Solution is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our client's North American FP&A team. This is not a traditional "output-based" reporting role; we are looking for a proactive Strategic Business Partner who will drive growth and efficiency across our wellness and consumer product portfolio.
The Role
This position serves as a critical finance partner to three primary commercial channels: Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), Marketing, and Sales. Reporting to the FP&A Manager for North America (who reports directly to the CFO), you will be expected to operate with high levels of autonomy. We need a self-starter who does not require "hand-holding" and is comfortable engaging deeply with stakeholders to propose meaningful changes.
What You'll Do
- Commercial Partnership: Serve as the lead finance partner for DTC, Marketing, and Sales, moving beyond data entry to provide high-level decision support.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Within your first two weeks, you will meet with approximately 10 key stakeholders to understand their business needs and establish a collaborative relationship.
- Reporting & Presentation: Manage and execute three major monthly leadership presentations using PowerPoint to tell a clear, compelling story with financial data.
- Process Transformation: Adopt a "blow it up and make it better" mindset; you are encouraged to challenge existing processes that "suck" and implement more efficient workflows.
- Strategic Modeling: Build and maintain complex models for revenue forecasting, margin bridges, and ROI frameworks for marketing campaigns.
- AI Integration: Leverage Claude (AI) and other emerging tools to streamline analysis and improve forecasting accuracy.
What You'll Bring
- 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, Finance, or Accounting.
- Robust FP&A Fundamentals: You must have strong experience in variance analysis and GL exposure.
- Advanced Excel Skills: High proficiency in financial modeling is non-negotiable.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- AI Literacy: A willingness to learn and use Claude (AI) to enhance productivity (this will be a key interview topic).
- Industry Experience: While CPG or DTC experience is a plus, we value strong finance fundamentals above specific industry knowledge.
- Software Literacy: Familiarity with BI/ERP tools is helpful, though it is lower on our priority list as these systems can be taught.
Compensation & Schedule
- Base Salary: $90,000 – $105,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.
- Schedule: This is a hybrid role based at our Chicago Loop location, requiring in-office collaboration Tuesday–Thursday.
- Benefits: Comprehensive package including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, and paid parental/sick/vacation leave.
