About the job Project Manager

Localised is local-first ecommerce. We have reimagined how brands and shoppers transact across borders, languages, currencies and cultures. With our own all-inclusive global ecommerce platform, we rapidly design, build, operate, optimize and market highly localised country-specific ecommerce sites in foreign markets for coveted brands. We help brands go global by being local. We are based in Toronto, New York, London, Warsaw, Bucharest and Hong Kong, and are proud to have our clients include Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, American Eagle Outfitters, ASOS, Saks Fifth Avenue and more. We are what brands expanding globally do next.

We're looking for a Project Manager. Based in our Toronto office, this role involves working with both external clients and internal teams across various locations. As our Project Manager, you will be responsible for some client and vendor onboarding, but at the core of the role you will become the owner of the roadmap schedule within the teams.

The projects you will manage cover a broad range of ecommerce deliverables from new integrations with clients, website feature optimisations and improved analytics enhancements. You will also work with many parts of our global e-commerce platform's systems, including product catalogues, order provisioning, and third-party vendor systems such as Payment Services, Tax Calculators, and CRM systems.

You will be responsible for managing the delivery schedule across multiple mission critical projects on the roadmap and will work closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to set priorities and delivery milestones.

More specifically, you will:

  • Collaborate with developers and integration specialists to improve and grow our cross-border e-commerce platform across multilingual, multi-site, and multi-currency implementations.
  • Be accountable for the delivery schedule on all roadmap projects.
  • Accountability includes building and maintaining project plans and communicating them, coordinating the plan to completion, evaluating the project success, and making improvements to the process as required.
  • Work with colleagues and clients to create project plans that cover their needs and requirements for each project, aligned with the requirements presented by Product Owners and Business Analysts.
  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives for each project and delivery of the programme.
  • Work with your peers at the clients and vendors to ensure alignment on schedule dependencies.
  • Ensure stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities in relation to project deliverables.
  • Work with delivery teams on estimation and time management and use engineering metrics to report on these KPIs, project elapsed time and costs.
  • Properly document and communicate project deliverables, stages, roles, milestones and timelines
  • Create reports and dashboards for reporting project status for senior management.
  • Continuously set and manage external and internal customer expectations.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in managing or using enterprise, end to end, fully integrated e-commerce platforms.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience with managing projects in JIRA.
  • Proven experience of successfully managing multiple projects at the same time across multiple teams.
  • Previous involvement in the development of product and project life cycles and related processes.
  • Very strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with best practices.
  • Ability to work confidently with clients and partners applying your own initiative.
  • Experience with ERP, OMS, and PIM systems integration.
  • Strong understanding of order management systems and back office integrations.
  • Ideally worked with Shopify, Magento or similar.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Robust analytical skills and proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred knowledge of multiple integration approaches (EDI, API, JSON, XML)
  • Resourcefulness and ability to find solutions in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of internal and external teams.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and management of technology.
  • Familiarity with analytical tools, such as spreadsheets and business intelligence applications.
