Commercial Litigation Associate

ABOUT THE ROLE

A well-regarded New York litigation boutique known for high-stakes commercial disputes is seeking a mid-level associate. Associates are given genuine responsibility from day one, working directly with partners on complex business disputes, contract claims, fraud actions, and employment-related matters across state and federal courts. If you want courtroom time and real client relationships — not document review — this is your firm.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Handle commercial litigation from initial pleadings through trial and post-judgment enforcement
• Conduct and defend depositions; manage discovery including e-discovery workflows
• Draft and argue dispositive and pre-trial motions in New York Supreme Court and federal court
• Communicate directly with clients and manage aspects of client relationships
• Support business development and client pitches alongside senior attorneys

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to the New York Bar
• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm
• Employment or labor dispute experience is a plus
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle a demanding caseload
