About the job Design Manager - Industrial & Logistics Real Estate
Our client is a prominent Global Industrial & Logistics Real Estate developer and asset manager with a growing footprint across Saudi Arabia and the UAE. With a core focus on industrial, logistics, and infrastructure real estate, the company is driving transformative development in the Middle East, contributing to economic diversification and supply chain modernisation.
As part of their strategic expansion in Saudi Arabia, the organisation is seeking an accomplished Design Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of design development for both greenfield projects and enhancement of existing assets. Based in Riyadh, Jeddah, or Dubai, this role offers high-level exposure across multidisciplinary teams, investment evaluations, and cutting-edge industrial real estate design.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Design Management & Development
- Lead the formulation of design briefs aligned with strategic development objectives
- Oversee consultants in delivering feasibility and concept studies on schedule
- Ensure design outcomes comply with regulations and meet quality benchmarks
- Guide the design process from concept to occupancy for new developments
- Support tenant fit-out design and coordinate major alterations with minimal operational impact
Asset Acquisition Support
- Conduct technical due diligence and design review for new acquisitions
- Collaborate with investment teams on development feasibility and high-level design input
- Provide early-stage cost estimates and construction timelines for site assessments
Procurement & Consultant Engagement
- Define design scopes and technical documentation for procurement processes
- Recommend and assess external consultants and contractors for project delivery
- Support tender clarification and evaluation in partnership with Procurement
Technical Advisory & Reporting
- Provide technical support to resolve design or maintenance issues in existing assets
- Maintain accurate reporting and documentation for internal and stakeholder communication
- Research and incorporate local standards and global best practices into design strategy
🔹 Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management
- Minimum 10 years' design management experience in industrial or logistics developments
- Proven delivery of at least three full-cycle design projects in the GCC or international markets
- Strong understanding of Saudi design regulations, codes, and authority processes
- Proficient in design software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Rhino, Grasshopper
- Fluent in English and Arabic, with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive quality outcomes, and operate autonomously
- Experience in both greenfield and brownfield developments is highly desirable
