Our client is a leading Tier 1 Global Transport & Logistics specialist seeking an experienced Key Account Manager Freight Forwarding to oversee a portfolio of multinational clients within defined industry sectors. This strategic role is central to achieving profitable growth, deepening long-term relationships, and capturing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for key global and multinational accounts
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to deliver seamless service and communication
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with client decision-makers and global stakeholders

Strategic Account Development

  • Align local activities with global and regional sector strategies
  • Identify and close new business opportunities within target customer segments
  • Support implementation of global business plans and initiatives locally

Sales and Performance Management

  • Deliver assigned revenue and gross profit targets through a healthy sales pipeline
  • Monitor contract performance and drive service improvements where required
  • Prepare and respond to RFI/RFP/RFQ processes with accurate customer data

Internal Reporting and Collaboration

  • Provide regular updates to Regional Customer Managers and executive sponsors
  • Ensure visibility of key developments, risks, and opportunities across the business
  • Support operational handovers and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in key account management or B2B sales within freight forwarding
  • In-depth knowledge of DGF products and global logistics operations
  • Proven success managing complex multinational customers
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive strategic customer growth
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work across cultures and collaborate in matrix environments
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
