Our client is a global leader in chemical logistics solutions, with a robust global presence. They seek an IT Support Executive based in Qatar with regional responsibilities and liaison with Germany and Asia, this role is pivotal for ensuring operational continuity and digital efficiency.
As the primary IT interface for Middle East operations and Engineering Solutions & Projects (ESP), the IT Support Executive will play a key role in enabling business performance through dependable IT support, infrastructure maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
End-User Support & Service Delivery
- Provide prompt first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Troubleshoot technical problems and escalate when necessary to higher-level support
- Conduct end-user training and develop user-friendly documentation
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Set up and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are correctly configured and operational
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments
- Manage network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and ensure reliable LAN/WAN connectivity
- Monitor system performance and implement updates and security protocols
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and IT configurations
- Generate performance and support activity reports for regional and global management
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a regional IT liaison with Global Headquarters and Asian affiliates
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver fit-for-purpose IT solutions
- Coordinate with HQ on tools and systems to avoid redundancy and leverage global synergies
Proactive Improvement & Risk Mitigation
- Identify potential issues and apply preventive measures to enhance reliability
- Recommend system improvements to optimise user experience and minimise downtime
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
- Minimum 8–10 years' experience in Windows Server administration and network management
- Proven expertise in LAN/WAN protocols, network security, and system diagnostics
- Strong verbal and written English; adept at communicating with non-native English speakers
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or CCNA are advantageous
- Experience working in cross-cultural, regional environments (Middle East, Asia)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities independently or in a team
