Based in Sydney, this pivotal role will lead the end-to-end delivery of technical due diligence and building condition surveys across a growing portfolio of industrial assets. Working in close collaboration with investment, development, and asset management teams, the Project Manager will play a key role in evaluating potential acquisitions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving value through technical insight. This role offers exposure to regional expansion initiatives and high-level decision-making within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Technical Due Diligence & Survey Management
- Lead pre-acquisition, acquisition, and end-of-lease building surveys across industrial assets
- Conduct site inspections and technical assessments to inform investment decision-making
- Oversee ESG reviews, environmental due diligence, and soil testing with specialist consultants
Project & Risk Oversight
- Identify and communicate technical risks and mitigation strategies to investment stakeholders
- Monitor regulatory and technical developments impacting asset performance and compliance
- Track project KPIs, timelines, and budgets; implement corrective actions as needed
Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with development and asset teams to assess feasibility, CAPEX, and regulatory parameters
- Evaluate third-party technical proposals and ensure compliant, cost-effective solutions
- Define scopes of work and support procurement of consultants and contractors
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Deliver high-quality technical reports and insights to internal and external stakeholders
- Assess variations and ensure timely communication of cost/schedule impacts
🔹 Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in industrial real estate or construction project management
- Proven expertise in technical due diligence and building surveys across Australia
- Strong knowledge of local planning codes, engineering compliance, and industrial build standards
- Familiarity with acquisition, forward funding, and industrial development processes
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement capability
- Understanding of ESG principles and sustainable construction practices
- Excellent reporting and communication skills
- Fluency in English essential; additional Asian language proficiency highly regarded
- Independent, results-driven, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects in a regional context
