Our client is a leading Sydney-based warehousing improvement solutions specialist. They seek a talented, experienced BDM, who is able to identify & convert new business opportunities.
This unique role works closely with the Founder / Managing Director who will be a ‘North Star’ that supports the successful applicant in all aspects of their appointment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: This involves researching market trends, analysing potential clients, and developing strategies
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong relationships with both new and existing clients, as well as establishing connections with key stakeholders and partners.
- Develop Business Strategies and Plans: Create comprehensive plans that outline objectives, strategies, and timelines for achieving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Negotiate Deals and Contracts: Manage the negotiation process for new business agreements and contracts, ensuring favourable terms for the company.
- Monitor Performance and Reporting: Track sales progress, analysing key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting on successes and areas for improvement.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Continuously monitor industry developments and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams:Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and other teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in sales, business development,
- Likely background working for commercial / industrial property company or 3PL
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
- Negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Proficiency in a relevant CRM software and tools
- Relevant degree preferred
