Finance Director - Hypermarkets

Our client is a tier 1 end-to-end GCC FMCG / Hypermarket / Supermarket / Retail / Logistics, ecommerce specialist. They seek an experienced Finance Director to lead financial strategy / management and strategic planning of their hypermarket and supermarket operations.

Based in Dubai, the role will support the expansion and operational excellence of our retail and e-commerce platforms in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all financial activities for the hypermarkets division, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Drive financial strategy to support growth across physical retail, e-commerce, logistics, and warehousing operations.
• Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, group policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the financial integration and optimization of operations within SAP systems across finance, warehousing, and logistics.
• Deliver financial insights to support pricing strategies, stock management, supply chain, and margin improvement initiatives.
• Lead finance team operations, ensuring robust internal controls and risk management.
• Reporting to the General Manager, Hypermarkets, the role will also report to the Board of Directors.
• Support strategic initiatives including store expansions, new market entries, and digital transformation projects.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably within hypermarkets, supermarkets, retail, FMCG, and or large-scale logistics operations.
• Strong background in e-commerce finance, supply chain, logistics, and warehousing finance is highly preferred.
• Advanced user of SAP financial and operational modules.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional finance qualification.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
• Arabic language proficiency is highly preferred but not mandatory.
