Our Tier 1 client is a global Integrated Logistics specialist seeking an experienced Air Procurement Manager to lead the next phase of Southeast Asia’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, identify, and assess airfreight carriers' performance to ensure service quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with airlines and logistics service providers to negotiate favorable rates and ensure high service standards.
  • Lead the carrier engagement and procurement process, including RFQ bidding, to secure the best rates and optimize pricing and space for cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Innovation and Operations teams, to develop cost-effective air product solutions for clients and optimize procurement processes in alignment with business goals.
  • Implement air procurement strategies to enhance revenue through improved air product solutions.
  • Manage contract administration, including rate negotiations, service commitments, and performance metrics.
  • Act as the primary contact between the company and key airline/logistics service provider partners.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in air logistics and provide insights and recommendations to optimize airfreight sourcing strategies.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a global logistics company or the airline/airfreight industry.
  • In-depth understanding of air spot rates and supply chain management.
  • Proven negotiation skills with airlines and logistics service providers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international air cargo regulations, including customs, security, and environmental standards.
  • Demonstrated track record in B2B air cargo sales and marketing.
  • Established connections with airlines, carriers, and/or co-loaders.
  • Strong understanding of airfreight operations, capacity management, and cost structures.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proactive and skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Proficient in data analysis and financial modeling to support decision-making.
  • Familiarity with digital logistics platforms and their integration with business processes is an advantage.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
