They are seeking for Business Development, Group Lead - Contract Logistics to drive regional sales strategy and lead a dynamic team across multiple markets. This high-impact role will spearhead customer acquisition, revenue growth, and commercial transformation across air, ocean, warehousing, and inland transport verticals offering significant scope for leadership and regional influence.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development & Sales Leadership
- Drive new customer acquisition across Southeast Asia and Australia
- Promote customer retention through cross-selling and upselling strategies
- Establish and execute regional go-to-market strategies aligned with divisional targets
Team Management & Performance Delivery
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing business development team
- Set and monitor monthly and semi-annual revenue and profitability targets
- Lead regular performance reporting and internal reviews with senior stakeholders
Client Engagement & Market Expansion
- Conduct client presentations and lead sales engagements across the region
- Initiate business trips and maintain close customer relationships to secure contracts
- Manage strategic accounts with a focus on long-term partnership value
Commercial Operations & Procurement Collaboration
- Track air and ocean freight trends to support competitive pricing and capacity planning
- Work closely with procurement teams to ensure optimal service delivery and cost control
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and opportunity inventory across all regional teams
🔹 Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in the logistics industry, with a strong commercial focus
- At least 5 years in senior business development or regional sales leadership roles
- Proven track record managing enterprise accounts and complex international contracts
- Strong understanding of logistics operations including Air, Ocean, Local Transport, and Warehousing
- Prior leadership in a global freight forwarding company is essential
- Experience with logistics systems (FIS, WMS, TMS) and digital sales tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in English; additional regional languages are advantageous
- Strong negotiation, team-building, and client communication capabilities
- Familiarity with regional logistics networks in Southeast Asia and Australia
