Inside Sales

 Job Description:

Lotus Group is proud to partner with our Alberta-based client in the valve distribution and service industry, supporting customers across the oil and gas sector. They are seeking an Inside Sales Product Specialist to join their team. This individual will play a key role in supporting sales efforts through technical expertise, customer engagement, and accurate quoting, while ensuring a seamless and high-quality client experience.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide inside sales and technical support for valve product lines, including preparing quotes, estimates, and product recommendations
  • Engage with customers to understand requirements, respond to inquiries, and deliver timely, accurate solutions
  • Develop new leads and identify opportunities to upsell products and services while supporting overall sales targets and KPIs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams (sales, purchasing, shipping, administration) and external customers
  • Follow up on quotes, requests, and orders to ensure responsiveness and conversion
  • Liaise with purchasing and shipping teams to track order status, manage changes, and support order fulfillment
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including quotes, invoices, customer records, and supporting reports
  • Assist with product training for internal teams and customers as required
  • Identify and document non-conformances, supporting resolution and communication with customers
  • Support RMA processes and ensure proper tracking and follow-through
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer files, billing information, and system data
  • Contribute to KPI tracking and performance monitoring alongside leadership
  • Support general administrative and office functions as needed
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and adhere to QHSE procedures and training requirements

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma with relevant experience or post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience in a customer-facing or inside sales role, ideally within the oil and gas, industrial distribution, or valve sector
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate product specifications and applications
  • Experience preparing quotes, estimates, and supporting documentation in a sales environment
  • Familiarity with valve products, industrial equipment, or related technical product lines is considered a strong asset 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with CRM or ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry, documentation, and order processing
  • Experience working cross-functionally with purchasing, shipping, and operations teams
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and systems

Compensation

A comprehensive compensation package will accompany the successful candidate. Starting salary range is 75-95K based on experience and qualifications.
