Student Admissions Advisor

 Job Description:

Lotus is excited to partner with a forward-thinking institution to identify their next Student Admissions Advisor in Calgary.

The Student Admissions Advisor (SAA) serves as the first point of contact for prospective students, shaping their initial impression of the college. SAAs are expected to uphold a high level of professionalism, offering timely, knowledgeable, and respectful guidance to students as they make meaningful choices about their career paths. They are responsible for outreach to individuals interested in the college, establishing connections that guide prospective students through the admissions process and and maintaining positive relationships with active students.

Role Responsibilities:

Admissions

  • Recruit qualified candidates for academic programs in a compliant and professional manner

  • Contact prospective students promptly after they express interest in programs and provide guidance on enrollment and admissions processes

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, governmental regulations, and program requirements for all students

  • Ensure all students meet program requirements before starting them in a program

Student Support

  • Support students before, during, and after the admission process

  • Conduct regular check-ins with the students between recruitment and start date, and following their start date

  • Guide students to relevant resources as needed

Administrative

  • Enter student information accurately into all necessary systems

  • Ensure students' records are up to date for reporting purposes

  • Facilitate handovers to other departments and provide necessary support as needed

  • Assist with audits of student files and ensure all required documentation is in place

  • Participate in campaign strategies proposed by the management

  • Assist with virtual and in-person marketing and branding efforts as needed

  • Collaborate with branding partners in marketing meetings as needed

  • Performs other duties/participates in special projects as assigned

Role Requirements:

  • A completed degree, diploma or trade in Post Secondary education

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience working in sales, relationship building, or a related field

  • Experience in customer service, admissions recruiting, education, or outbound contract center roles is considered an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse individuals

  • Proven ability in balancing competing priorities and delivering on deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Prior experience in handling high-volume calls is considered an asset.

  • Consistently brings enthusiasm, approachability, and positivity to student outreach and team interactions

  • Experienced in using online communication tools and platforms to facilitate virtual interactions
