Project Manager - Mechanical

We are seeking a Project Manager to join their growing operation. This well-rounded and hard-working team of professionals delivers solutions in the design and installation of mechanical systems with all aspects of plumbing, gas-fitting, HVAC, refrigeration and air conditioning in a variety of conditions and remote Canadian locations. This role offers opportunities for both travel and long-term career stability.

Role Responsibilities

Lead site walk-throughs (pre- and post-project) to assess scope, ensure compliance, and support successful execution.

  • Oversee QA/QC documentation, safety protocols, permitting, and certifications.
  • Conduct cost analyses and identify cost-saving opportunities on large-scale projects.
  • Prepare project summaries, including scope, objectives, and performance reviews (internal and client-facing).
  • Manage equipment, materials, and personnel resources to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with teams to monitor progress, address concerns, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain strong procurement, logistics, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed and risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Lead and develop team members while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with trends and innovations in operations and construction management.
  • Participate in meetings, inspections, and emergency drills as needed.
  • Support performance evaluations and disciplinary processes in collaboration with HR.
  • Maintain alignment with company values, quality expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison with ownership group, contributing insights and supporting company goals.

Role Requirements

  • Plumber/Gasfitter Journeyman required

  • Valid Class 5 drivers license

  • Proven experience in project management within construction, plumbing, or mechanical sectors.
  • Strong skills in planning, organizing, and leading multiple concurrent projects.
  • Understanding of permit acquisition and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, quality assurance, and team performance.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to upholding company safety and operational standards.
  • Leadership presence and ability to drive accountability and results within a field-based team.
