Lotus Group is proud to partner with our valued client in the Energy industry as they are searching for a Business Development Representative to join their team. Our client delivers products and services to various industries in North America and abroad.
Position Summary: The Business Development Specialist - EIC role is an outside technical sales position which will be responsible for generating leads/revenue as well as providing customer support and technical expertise related to the electrical, instrumentation and controls portion of our clients services business. This will include the sale of related products and services as well as any manufactured products in the KES portfolio. This position will report to the Vice President, Business Development and Marketing.
Primary Tasks:· Direct sales and marketing responsibility for the electrical, instrumentation and controls business.
- Primary point of customer contact for technical knowledge and potential solutions within an assigned region and/or customer segment.
- Strategic planning with respect to customers, regions, pricing and new products/services.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other business units and departments to deliver multi faceted solutions and resolve customer issues.
- Attendance at trade shows, technical conferences and other networking/training events as required.
- Administrative tasks including:
- Timely submission of expense reports.
- Communicate sales objectives, opportunities, and results through the regular use of a CRM system.
- Communicate incoming projects and planned timelines to operations and finance.
- Attend weekly sales meetings in a prepared manner ready to discuss current or potential upcoming quotes, projects, sales, etc.
Success in this role will come from:
- Advanced knowledge of instrumentation and electrical products, services and solutions.
- Commitment to a solutions based selling approach.
- Demonstrated motivation to meet sales goals.
- Experience in territory management.
- Display strong presentation, sales planning and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen with respect to pricing and margin strategies.
