Lotus Group is proud to partner with our newest client, a leader in Commercial Interior Construction here in Edmonton Our client has been in the industry for over 30 years, specializing in commercial interior fit-outs, tenant improvements, and renovations for office, retail, and industrial spaces. We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the planning, estimating, coordination, and execution of commercial interior construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-focused, and capable of managing multiple fast-paced projects while maintaining high standards of quality and safety, staying current with construction technologies and market trends.
Role Responsibilities
Lead all phases of project management including scope, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and resourcing
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure project specifications align with their vision
Ensure execution according to construction drawings and specifications
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to these schedules and financial limitations
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain project workflow and timelines
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality of work, and address any issues that arise promptly.
Attend weekly project meetings
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle
Communicate project updates to all stakeholders, maintaining transparency and managing expectations effectively
Identify and mitigate project risks and implement contingency plans as needed
Prepare and manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and progress reports
Track project performance, costs, and schedules to ensure goals are met or exceeded
Role Requirements
5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, preferably with a focus on interiors or tenant improvements
Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
PMP or equivalent project management certification considered an asset
Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or elated field is preferred
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling software (e.g., JobTread, Excel) and project financials
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Collaborative, team first mentality
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites within the region
