Business Development Executive - Equipment

THE POSITION:

Our Business Development Specialist, Equipment, is responsible for business development of the lubrication equipment division of our client. Reporting to the Sales Director, the Business Development Specialist will support equipment sales activities with the Sales and Customer Service Teams and will also pursue their business development opportunities across Western Canada. They will work closely with operations to ensure timely delivery of equipment and will coordinate with internal and 3 rd party service personnel to facilitate new product installations and ongoing service work. They will be responsible for implementing growth strategies and development plans as directed by the executive.

THE CANDIDATE:

The Candidate we seek for the Business Development Specialist Equipment position has a proven track record of profitable sales growth in the lubrication equipment industry. A growth mindset, integrity, solid time and project management skills, a strong business acumen are important characteristics. Strong networking and business relationship-building skills are paramount. The Candidate must be able to travel throughout our business area in Western Canada regularly. Direct sales and management experience in lubrication equipment or related industries is desired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identify and prioritize sales opportunities throughout the existing company customer base Identify, qualify, pursue and support new sales opportunities, either with the Field Sales Team or individually Work with internal and external service providers to successfully bid/quote on larger equipment installation projects Train Field Sales Team on equipment sales Communicate with equipment vendors to stay current on product offerings and sales strategies Provide technical support

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience with proven results in the lubrication equipment industry  
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Project management experience is an asset
  • Skilled at creating a culture of performance, accountability and trust
  • Leader skilled at uniting, inspiring, influencing, training and motivating others
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Experience building relationships internal and external to the organization
  • High-level critical and creative thinking, problem-solving solving and analysis skills

  • Multi-tasking Skills and high proficiency in new technologies
