Salary: $52.45 /hourly
Candidates with previous experience working at Microsoft Corporation, either as a full-time employee (FTE) or contractor, are strongly preferred.
Summary:
The main function of an accountant is to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. A typical accountant is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Review accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports created by staff to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Review and approve budgets and periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Create recordkeeping and accounting systems.
Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and direct their work activities.
Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend and/or develop solutions to business and financial problems.
Advise executives about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
Review and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
Analyze and verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning.

Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
10+ years financial and/or accounting experience required.
The purpose of the team is to work on partner incentives and accounting for the corporate finance and service management group.
Key projects: This role will contribute to work on partner incentives and compliance controls
Candidate Requirements
Years of Experience Required: 10+ overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's in accounting or related financial discipline degree is required to be eligible for this role. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred
Disqualifiers: Candidates with no PST timezone, no experience with compliance/controls and partner incentives will not be eligible for the role.
Best vs. Average: Knowledge of using Copilot- Ensuring they comprehend how to engage with the information, or convert data and analyze it using the copilot feature within user applications.
Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on deadlines and quality of work
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
1. Minimum 8+ years experience with Accounting knowledge and experience, preferably with partner incentives and SAP.
2. Minimum 8+ years experience with Data management and analysis skills, including Excel and pivot tables.
3. Minimum 8+ years experience with Compliance and control skills, including knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
