We are seeking an experienced and highly capable SAP ePPDS Consultant / Architect to join our globally distributed team. This is a senior-level consulting and architecture role responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of SAP ePPDS (embedded Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) solutions within a complex, globally distributed automotive manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy, working with limited existing documentation and independently designing, configuring, and delivering ePPDS solutions from the ground up. This role spans multi-region rollout activities across Mexico, North America, and Europe, and requires the ability to lead technical and functional workstreams while collaborating effectively with international stakeholders across multiple time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end SAP ePPDS implementation, configuration, and rollout across multiple regions, including Mexico, North America, and Europe.
- Design and configure ePPDS master data including resources, PPMs (Production Process Models), production versions, routing, work centers, capacity planning, scheduling strategies, and bucket capacity.
- Manage detailed scheduling and planning boards, heuristics, optimization runs, and scheduling sequences to meet manufacturing targets.
- Support integration with SAP S/4HANA modules (MM, PP, SD, PM) within the S/4 HEC (Enterprise Cloud) environment, ensuring data consistency and process alignment.
- Work within repetitive manufacturing and automotive industry contexts; configure rate-based planning and line design appropriate to client operations.
- Navigate effectively in environments with limited or no pre-existing documentation; proactively create comprehensive documentation from scratch as needed.
- Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and fit-gap analysis with business stakeholders to align SAP capabilities with operational requirements.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), go-live support, and hypercare phases to ensure successful deployment and post-go-live stability.
- Provide knowledge transfer sessions and structured training programs to client teams, ensuring long-term solution sustainability.
