Job Summary

Financial Controller will be responsible to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management. This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements
  • Review and Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts
  • Participate in preparation for the annual audit and review
  • Resolve issues arising from the audit or review process
  • Work together with the tax consultant to be in compliance with tax regulations.
  • Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues
  • Manage account receivables collection and cash flow status of the company
  • Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies’
  • Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
  • Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records
  • Create SOP and documentation for internal audit and develop annual plans
  • Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc
  • Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
  • Maintain open communication with management and audit committee
  • Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
  • Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps or variances

Qualification

  • Proven working experience in Accounting and Finance Department Minimum 5 years of working experience
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports High attention to detail and excellent analytical skill
  • Sound independent judgement
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
