Job Openings Product Designer

About the job Product Designer

About the Role

We're hiring a Product Designer to own the end-to-end design function for a newly formed squad at a high-scale U.S. tech company.

The team is building a post-transaction experience that surfaces curated offers from third-party partners (internet, moving services, insurance) to millions of users. Think meaningful product work at real scale.

Outcomes and Responsibilities:

  • Owning the end-to-end design function for the squad, from research and wireframes through to production-ready Figma specs and handoff.
  • Designing responsive mobile web experiences for the hub (the primary user surface), ensuring designs work across devices with mobile web as the priority.
  • Working within and contributing back to the existing design system (Storybook, Chromatic, MUI, Tailwind), maintaining consistency while shipping fast.
  • Designing rapid experiments to validate partnership hypotheses, prioritizing speed-to-production and signal generation over long-term polish.
  • Collaborating directly with engineers on implementation, participating actively in stand-ups, Slack, and code reviews to ensure design intent is preserved.
  • Using data and user feedback to inform design decisions, helping the team instrument experiments and interpret results to guide iteration.
  • Advocating for design quality and user experience across the pod, proactively raising concerns and opportunities rather than waiting for direction.

Must Haves:

  • Design Systems Proficiency: Ability to work with an existing design system at a very high bar. Must be able to jump into Figma, understand the current system quickly, use it effectively from day one, and contribute back to it. This is the single most important technical competency.
  • Strong Generalist: A designer who can spread across all of the team's needs. Not a specialist or motion designer. Must cover end-to-end product design: research, interaction, visual, prototyping, and handoff.
  • Strong Communicator & Cross-Functional Collaborator: Highly collaborative, proactive, and willing to be a voice for design. Must participate actively in Slack, step up when they see something, and jam directly with engineers. Strong cross-functional relationship building is essential. Fluent English skills is needed.
  • Figma Fluency: Must be productive in Figma immediately. The team's design artifacts, specs, and design system all live in Figma.
  • Mobile Web First: Most of traffic comes via mobile web, notnative apps. The designer must be strong in responsive design with mobile web as the primary surface.
  • Data-Driven & Experiment-Oriented: Comfortable with fast iteration cycles, leveraging data and user feedback to pivot quickly. Must balance being scrappy and moving fast with thoughtful measurement. Should be actively involved in interpretation and strategic thinking. Partners closely with Product Management, leveraging the PM as a strong thought partner to shape direction and inform decisions.

What you'll love:

  • Remote job - work from anywhere in Latin America, no relocation required.
  • USD payment (5k - 6k USD).
  • Paid time off.
  • High-impact work from day one — embedded directly with a U.S. product team, not a vendor relationship from a distance.
  • Learning and career opportunities.
