We are seeking Identity & Access Management Engineers for a large-scale Customer Identity initiative supporting loyalty and rewards platforms used by millions of customers across North America.

This role focuses on the customer-facing side of identity management, including authentication, loyalty membership access, rewards systems, account lifecycle management, and Okta-based identity workflows.

You will work closely with architects, product teams, and engineering stakeholders to maintain and enhance a high-availability customer identity ecosystem, ensuring fast, secure, and reliable access across mobile, web, and other customer channels.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Identity & Loyalty Platforms

  • Support customer identity systems and loyalty applications.
  • Manage authentication and authorization processes for end users.
  • Improve customer access experiences across mobile, web, and in-store/fuel channels.
  • Prevent duplicate customer identities and ensure data integrity across loyalty accounts.
  • Support promotional and rewards campaigns dependent on identity data.

Okta Engineering

  • Design, build, and maintain Okta Workflows.
  • Configure and support Customer Identity integrations.
  • Troubleshoot authentication and authorization issues.
  • Collaborate with Okta support for escalations when needed.
  • Monitor identity platform performance, stability, and availability.

Development & Integrations

  • Work closely with Solution Architects on new features and enhancements.
  • Participate in full SDLC activities: design, implementation, testing, and production support.
  • Support integrations between loyalty applications and identity services.
  • Contribute to automation and process optimization initiatives.

Operational Support

  • Ensure fast resolution of customer access issues.
  • Investigate authentication failures and service disruptions.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in IAM, CIAM, or Identity Engineering roles.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing identity platforms.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Proven collaboration with architects, developers, and business stakeholders.

Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Okta.
  • Experience building and maintaining Okta Workflows.
  • Solid understanding of CIAM (Customer Identity & Access Management).
  • Experience with SSO, MFA, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for authentication and authorization issues.
  • Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
  • Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in distributed teams.
  • Availability to work Arizona / East Coast hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, fuel, convenience store, or loyalty programs.
  • Experience with high-volume consumer-facing applications.
  • Knowledge of membership, rewards, or loyalty systems.
  • Experience with identity governance and lifecycle management.
  • Exposure to large enterprise IAM environments.
