SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Work in the area of ​​Product Engineering, collaborating in the development of new products, solutions and improvements in existing products and solutions; conducting research, studies, calculations and/or testing of products, raw materials and new technologies; preparing draft reports and technical documentation; collaborating in the planning, analysis and interpretation of results of experiments carried out; supporting the development and monitoring of the elaboration of prototypes, as well as performing other related activities inherent to the position.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop new products and solutions, as well as develop improvements in existing products and solutions in the plastic parts product line.

Conduct research, studies, calculations and/or testing of products, raw materials and new technologies.

Prepare reports and technical documentation of the activities under your responsibility.

Work in the planning, analysis and interpretation of results of experiments carried out.

Apply and validate methodologies and parameters related to the analysis of new products and solutions. Plan and manage items related to the laboratory, internal or external, intended for research and development of new products and techniques.

Provide technical information to employees in areas with an interface with engineering for analysis of Quality, Production, Manufacturing, among others.

Act in the collection of external information, related to the content of the area of ​​activity and technological innovations.

Design and develop products based on general guidelines, goals, specific operational needs and technical characteristics provided by the client.

Develop research on products, compositions, characteristics and functionalities aiming at creating demand and future launches of new products.

Prepare studies to define characteristics and potential suppliers, suggesting to the company the production with its own resources or third parties.

Develop and monitor the creation of prototypes in order to verify the functioning and performance of the developed projects.

Develop technical specification plans, product designs and terms of quality standards. Work together with engineering in the preparation of plans related to product manufacturing methods and processes.

Monitor the implementation of products in the production and assembly lines until their final and satisfactory approval.

Support the Sales area in feasibility studies for new and existing projects.

REQUIREMENTS

Engineering graduate, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.

Advanced English (communication required).

Previous experience in Product Engineering in the automotive plastic parts sector.

Knowledge of APQP.

Knowledge of PLM.

Knowledge of Catia and ENOVIA will be considered as a differential.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years' experience in the automotive engineering area and desirable 3 years' experience in the product engineering area.
